For admission in engineering colleges through lateral entry, you will have to appear in either state level lateral entry examinations or university level entrance examination conducted by many colleges.Based on your rank and marks you will get admission.

These are criteria for btech
The candidates require to pass the 12th with an aggregate of 60 per cent marks in PCM, PMB or MCB.
The candidate also has to appear in the entrance examinations conducted by various universities to provide admission to the B.Tech programme.
The rank acquired in entrance examinations of various universities along with the rank acquired in national level engineering entrance examination of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are considered for providing admissions by prestigious universities.
