Hey Hritika,
You have to be 17 years old as of 31st December 2020. So, depending on your birthdate you will be eligible or not. (We calculated your age from google and you will be 16 even if you were born on January 1st, so according to that I am sorry you will not be eligible to appear for NEET 2020, but you may prepare in advance so here is all you need.)
Hope this helped, for any other query feel free to ask.
Dear Harika,
as your DOB is 2004, your age will be of 16 years by 2020, which means that you are not eligible for NEET 2020 because the lower limit of age to write NEET exam is 17 years or at least you should be 17 by December 31st before admitting into any MBBS or BDS course.
Since you are studying 11th standard at present, you cannot apply for NEET exam. So, complete your 12th standard with good qualifying or top percentage and then apply for NEET. The academic qualifications for NEET eligibility are mentioned below. You have to thoroughly prepare for NEET taking the NEET syllabus into consideration, take a lot of NEET Mock Tests for better improvement and revise the topics which you are weak in.
The other thing is he/she shouldn't cross 25 years of age to write NEET exam. So, if you are not satisfied in the 1st attempt of yours in NEET and couldn't get admission in the desired college, you still have a chance to take another test till 25 years of age.
Academic Qualifications for NEET are: a student should get qualifying marks in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English with a minimum of 50% as total and for special categories such as SC and ST, 40% of the total is enough. For the unreserved category candidates, the qualifying total is 45% and for the people who studied abroad and want to get into Indian medical colleges, the qualifying total should be of 50%.
NEET is a national wide test for doing MBBS and BDS. Candidate from any nationality can take the test. This time the NEET exam is held by the National Testing Agency(NTA). There are 7 qualification codes as per the NEET eligibility criteria. If a candidate does not fall within the qualifications given as per the codes, he/she should provide complete details to find out about NEET eligibility. A student is, therefore, required to choose any one of the codes. To know what are the codes and for more information, browse into the official website of NTA: ntaneet.nic.in.
You can also mail them to ask any further doubts. Their official Email ID: neetug-nta@nic.in
This ebook serves as a valuable study guide for NEET exams, specifically designed to assist students in light of recent changes and the removal of certain topics from the NEET exam.
Dear Hritika, for being eligible for NEET, you should be 17 years old atleast by December 31st of the year of admission. Considering the fact that you were born on January 1st 2004, by December 31st, 2020 you will be exactly 17 years. But now if your birthday falls anywhere after January 1st, 2004, you are not eligible for NEET because you wouldn't be 17 years old yet by then.
