Generally, the EWS certificate is valid for one financial year in most of the states. I would suggest you to check your state's official website regarding the validity of your EWS certificate.

Taking in consideration the general validity of one year, your EWS certificate will expire before the document verification round. And, if that happens, you will not be able to avail the reservation under EWS category. It is preferable for you, to renew your certificate before the commencement of document verification round.

No the certificate isn't valid for the NEET 2020 counselling.

Validity of EWS certificate is from 1st april ,2019 to 31st march , 2020. So your EWS certificate was valid upto till March , 2020. The validity of the certificate is not from the date of issue but the the fiscal year.So I would recommend if you can apply for a new certificate.
