Hello Aspirant,
There might be two cases with you, first case is if you had appeared for JEE-Main 2021 February and March session with the same certificate uploaded and now you want to appear for April and May session, or the second case is, you are applying only for JEE-Main 2021 April and May session and applying in the current application period.
So if first case is applicable for you then there is no need to change the certificate which you have uploaded, it will be considered as valid but at the time of admission you need to have new updated certificate. But if the second case is applied on you then you should use undertaking instead of expired EWS certificate. Undertaking is the document which declares that you will submit the original and valid caste certificate later on at the time of admission. You can download the undertaking from the official portal of NTA, for which link is also given below :-
https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/File/GetFile?FileId=5&LangId=P
When you visit on the above link you will find a PDF and on page no.9 there is undertaking format which you have to download and after filling it you have to upload it on the place of category certificate in the JEE-Main 2021 Application form.
