There are a set of medical standards which one has to fulfil whitout any relaxation to be able to join Nation Defence Academy.

The vision standard for candidates joining different defence forces varies.

• For Army, candidates must have to fulfill following criteria-

• Distance vision ( corrected) - better eye: 6/6

• Worse eye: 6/9

• Myopia not more than -2.5d including astigmatism and Manifest.

• Hypermetropia not more than +3.5d including astigmatism.

• binocular vision- III

For Air Force, candidates have to fulfill following standards

• Candidates who habitually wear spectacles are not eligible for Air force.

• Minimum distant vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other. ( correctable to 6/6,but only for hyoermetropia)

• Near vision must be N-5 in each eye.

- For Indian Navy, the standards are :

• Corrected with glass : 6/6

• Uncorrected without glass: 6/12

• Limit of Myopia: -1.5

• Limit of Hypermetropia- +1.5

SO with your vision standards it seems difficult for you to join NDA.
