Dear Student,
In simpler words, Your local government authority is where you can obtain the EWS certificate (Tehsil). The proof needed to use the EWS reservation is a certificate known as a "Income and Assets Certificate." Your paperwork will be checked by the relevant government official, who will then provide your EWS certificate.
But let’s discuss it briefly for your convenience-
The UTs, States, and Center may each have a distinct issuing authority for the EWS Certificate. However, the relevant body or department should be the only one to give the EWS certificate. You can obtain the EWS/Income and Asset certificate from the following authorities as the issuing authority.
Additional District Magistrate/ District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/ Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Taluka Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate |
Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency
Magistrate/ Chief Presidency Magistrate |
The authority of the District revenue office can also provide the EWS Certificate. The authority below the rank of Sub-Divisional Officer and Tehsildar are not eligible to provide the concerned documents to the beneficiary. |
How to apply?
Both online and offline applications for the EWS Certificate are accepted.
1. When using the online application method, the applicant must go to the CSC centre, where the appropriate authority will request the certificate on your behalf. The applicant must then go to the official authority for the verification process. The application is also available to candidates through the direct links in this page.
2. The applicant must go to the revenue department in your area to complete an offline registration. Fill out the application first, then submit it to the appropriate office official. Keep the application receipt for the completed application on hand.
The EWS Certificate's validity -
The certificate must be renewed and updated within the allotted time period in order to ensure that it remains valid forever. The Income and Asset certificate is valid for a year. However, for some particular states, the duration may vary up to a maximum of six months. The certifications must be renewed by the applicant for them to remain effective. An applicant can readily renew their certifications by browsing the service portal for the states that have an online gateway for providing the certificate. To renew the EWS/Income and Asset Certificate offline, the applicant must, nevertheless, go to the appropriate authority.
Do the about mentioning steps to get your certificate, I hope and believe that you’ll excel in your life.
Good luck.
