My father has 3.5 acres of land and 200000 income yearly.Am i eligible for ews certificate under general category?While I enquired in the village office ,they told me only 2.5 acres is allowed for getting this certificate but it shows all over the internet that the criteria is below 5 acres in rural

Hello student,

For a candidate to come under EWS category the Candidate's annual family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum and his family must not own more than 5 acres of agriculture land.

Additionally, thehe residential flat area should be below 1000 sq ft. Hope it was helpful...
