My father is an government employee can i eligible to apply for agriculture exam

Hello Manu,


Yes, you are eligible for appearing in KCET 2019.Due to elections the exam date has be extended to April 29 for biology-mathematics, April 30 for physics-chemistry, may 5 for kannada, and may 18 for practical exams for agriculturist.

The last date to apply was on march 21, 2019.

Eligibility criteria for various BSc courses:

  • Passed the 12th class exam or second year pre university or equivalent
  • Should have opted for Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects
  • Common rank list will be prepared and published on the basis of performance of candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in qualifying exam and the Common Entrance Test.


For a candidate being a son or daughter of a Union Government employee or of the Union of Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking, liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per his employment terms and conditions and has worked in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka. During those two-year period of study, the candidates should have been in PUC/11th or 12th standards course and, such candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any government or government recognized educational institution located in Karnataka.

Documents to be presented at the time of counselling:

  • 10th standard Marks Cards
  • 2nd PUC/12th Standard Marks Card of the candidate
  • A certificate from employer indicating parents as an employee of Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking.
  • A certificate of employment of the parent from the employer indicating the period of employment and the transferability nature
  • Candidates certificate ensuring the completion of their 2nd PUC or any valid equivalent exam in Karnataka.

Thanks for clarifying your question more.Yes, you are eligible to write exam under agriculturist quota provided you give a practical exam.The test will be conducted on "Identification of Agriculture Related Specimens" on May 18, 2019.The minimum qualifying marks required are 50%. Feel free to ask, if you have any further doubts.

But while putting the application i do not selected agriculture quota reservation then wt to do
