My father is in private sector and his annual income is 6 lakh per annum .I am confused that annual income should be less than 8 lakh or 5 lakh for obc ncl and admission in NITs .As I have noticed a/c to NIts income should be less than 5 and a/c to government it should be less than 8 for obc ncl?

Dear student,

I guess your query is about the obc ncl category. All obc students do not belong to obc ncl. If a student's family income is less than eight lakhs per annum then those students are considered as obc ncl in jee mains. Now suppose you got admission in a NIT. Then you will receive tuition fee waiver according to your family's income, if your family's income is less than one lakhs per annum then you receive complete tuition fee waiver, if it is between 1-5 lakhs per annum then it is generally 2/3rd fee waiver.
