My father is serving with Indian Army. Is there any army quota in State of TN during the med counselling?
*Freedom Fighters*
3 MBBS seats are reserved for children of freedom fighters. Adopted or Foster son or daughter are not eligible to seek admission under this category. The candidates should furnish the following copies of documents along with the application.
1.Assistance Certificates / Freedom Fighter Pension Orders issued by the Central / State Government to the freedom fighter. or Jail Extract duly recommended by the District Committee for the Freedom Fighters.
2.Particulars of the Freedom Fighter in the book containing Freedom Fighters name published by Government of Tamil Nadu.
3.Proof that the candidate is the child of Freedom Fighter.
Tashildar Certificate to establish the relationship with the Freedom Fighter.
4.Birth Certificate to ascertain the parentage of the candidate.
5.Legal heir certificate of the Freedom Fighter.
*Children of Ex-Servicemen*
2 MBBS and 1 seats are reserved for Children of Ex-Servicemen. The candidate should furnish a certificate as prescribed in the format, obtained from the competent authority. The special committee from the Defence authorities constituted for this purpose will scrutinize certificates. Eligible candidates will be selected on merit basis. The other eligibility conditions will be applicable as in the case of General Category.
