my father is subedar in army. Do I eligible for obc NCL certificate as I am from obc category Also does rank under Lt col and below in army eligible for obc ncl cerficate??? I knw about 8 lakh criteria but I really confused about above questions. plz explain briefly.

Here's eligibility for OBC NCL :
If your parents are not directly recruited Class 1 (Group A) or Class 2 (Group B) officers OR they do not occupy any constitutional posts (like that of President, Vice President, Governor etc) you are most likely to fall under Non-Creamy Layer OBC.
If your parents are not employed by the government, their income should be within the limits by the government to be treated as Non-Creamy Layer OBC.
Now, if your father's gross annual income is less than 8 lakhs then yes you can apply for obc ncl certificate.
