I am considering that you are an Engineering aspirant and wish to appear for MHT CET exam.
As per the MHT CET Eligibility Criteria, Candidate can claim Maharashtra State Candidature if he/she fulfills any of the following criteria-
Type A- (i) Candidate should have completed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra.
(ii) Candidate should be a Domicile of Maharashtra or either born in Maharashtra.
Type B- Candidate or his father or mother should be a domicile of Maharashtra state and should possess the Domicile Certificate.
Type C- If the Father or Mother of the candidate is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.
Type D- Father or Mother of the candidate is an employeee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
Type E- Candidate who have completed SSC and/ or HSC examination from a recognised institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.
It should be noted that a candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra state candidature type. As per your query, if you or your father or mother possess the domicile certificate of Maharashtra then you can claim a seat under maharashtra State candidate (as per the Type B).
