It's highly recommended to rectify the discrepancy in your father's name before proceeding with college admissions.

While some colleges might overlook minor discrepancies, it's not guaranteed. A mismatch in names can lead to delays, complications, and even rejection of your application.

Because it is just the AADHAR Card that has a different name, I would suggest that you change his name on the AADHAR Card to what the rest of the documents have. But, with the change in AADHAR, your father will face issues concerning Bank details, PAN card, and every other government document. This is very concerning not only for college admission but for everything going forth- government records, competitive exams, government exams, marriage certificate, and other things.

Talk to your father about this and ask him what will suit him because it is his credentials we are talking about, it will affect him the most
