- The NEET cut off varies from year to year, state to state and as well as college to college. It also depends on the Quota you are applying through as well as the Category of Admission. Government and Private Colleges have cut-offs of their own.
- Assuming your friend is applying through the 15% All India Quota under General Category for a Government Medical College, the cut-off for NEET 2017 was Rank 5579 which corresponds to a score of approximately 520 marks out of 720.
- This year (2018), we are expecting a rise in cut offs due to increasing competition. So through All India Quota, it is not possible to get a seat in MBBS/BDS. However, your friend may apply for 85% State Quota and if he/she has a reservation certificate, he/she may get in BDS. MBBS might be long shot.
- You should wait for the rank list and in the end it depends on the Competition prevailing in your state. All the very best.
