As you have done with your eamcet exam,you must be now aware of EAMCET qualifying marks,cut-offs,closing ranks,disqualifying marks  etc.

THE rank is allotted as per your performance in both IPE+EAMCET ,the weightage is calculated as per the following:

EAMCET is of 75% weightage and IPE marks is of the rest 25% weightage marks are used for calculating RANK. OUT of 2.29 lakhs ,only arounf 1.34(approx) lakh people qualified

in the Exam.

For intermediate weightage :

as your friend got 597 marks, it is calculated as {597/total marks( subjects only)}*25

For Eamcet weightage: (eamcet score/160 )*75

you told the total of 42 marks ,it cannot be the eamcet test score alone,may be it cumulative score after calculation.

So may be the marks seem to be qulaified ..Incase if she/got qualified with those 42 marks,she will be getting a rank for sure. IF she/he isn't qualfied then there would be no rank mentioned in most cases.Try to understand the difference between the total marks(IPE + EAMCET ) and eamcet marks alone.
