my friend has got 93 marks i n csir chemical science shows percentile of 97.03 while my other friend also got 93 but shows only 93.13 percentile why? is there any impact of category . one belong to obc other belong to general respectively

Percentile of both your friends is different because scores are normalised.
Scores are normalised considering the following factors:
Number of shifts
Number of candidates appearing in the exam
Difficulty level of the exam
Accuracy level of the candidate
