Your overall GATE score must be above 235 to get into IIT.

as you can see that the GATE cut off for the year 2017 was being 25.20 so this year also it would be around like that only and since you have got 47 marks so yes there are chances that you will get admission in the IIT colleges.

sir, I am not sure you will good IIt colleges or not but yes that I am sure that you will get an IIT college and you can apply for NITs also.

you can get admission in good NITs as well and even in good government colleges.

so i can this you should go for NITs also.

The GATE Cutoff 2018 not  yet released. According to GATE 2017 cutoff you have scored good marks and you are qualified to get admission in any college but to get admission in IIT you need to score more.

To get admission in IIT DELHI   you need to score 770 , for IIT Bombay you need to score 510 , and for IIT Kharagpur you need 858 marks.

Do not lose hope the GATE 2018 cutoff are not yet released....hope for the best ......

You have good marks but I don't think that these marks are enough for admission in IITs. You should give one more shot to your preparation and I am sure that you will definitely get it next year.
