My GMR rank is 8514 ,but my SC category rank is 282 in wbjee 2018 will I get jadavpur in Mechanical or Etectrical?

Krishnendu I am sorry to say that with your 8514 general merit rank and 282 SC category rank in the WBJEE exam you have no chance to get a Mechanical or Electrical branch at Jadavpur University. But you have a high probability of getting the following branches in Jadavpur University:
- Architecture
- Construction Engineering
- Food Technology And Bio-Chemical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Power Engineering/Power Plant Engineering
- Printing Engineering/Printing Technology
- Production Engineering

Because the cut-off for those branches is way high then the rank he has got under SC category.
