I m sorry to say but you are not eligible for the entrance exams for MA English in du as its eligibility criteria demands at least 60% aggregate. JNU also accepts only applications of students with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
However no need to get disheartened, there are several other careers you can choose after your BA and you are absolutely eligible for them:
1. MBA- there are several entrance exams conducted for admission into top business schools. Among them you are eligible for exams like CAT, CMAT, IRMA, ( depending on which category you belong to: they demand minimum 50% aggregate for students in UR category and 45% for other reserved categories in their graduation), XAT, IIFT, AIMA MAT, ATMA. 2. Civil services- eligibility criteria regarding your degree is only that your degree should be from some central/state or deemed University.
3. You can also fill in application for undergraduate LAW. The entrance exam is CLAT and minimum aggregate required in the qualifying degree is 45% for UR category and 40% for other reserved categories.
Apart from these you can also pursue MA in mass communication( bachelor's in journalism or in mass communication is not compulsory) or you can do internships with big, reputed companies and indulge into professional writing.
