In general, police officers must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, whereas police women must be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall. About 150 centimetres is the standard height for female police officers. However, for candidates from ST groups and racial groups like the Gorkhas, Assamese, Kumaonis, etc., the height restriction can be loosened to 160 cm for males and 145 cm for women, respectively. In addition, the women's chests should be able to expand to a maximum of 5 cm and measure at least 79 cm.
