Yeah you are eligible to write you KCET exam. There must be proper proof and evidences to show that your mother has studied in Karnataka. You must have the Transfer certificate from school or the college, the voter ID from Karnataka and other required documents of your mother. You will be checked for all the documents during the document verification time after your announcement if the exam results. If you fail to submit any of the documents then you will not be eligible for the counselling for the colleges in Karnataka through KCET.
There is also extra exam conducted for the students for the language testing which you have to clear. In the test you will be given the basic Kannada language test . This also applicable for the Horanadu and Gadinadu kannadigas. If you fail to pass the exam then you are not eligible to get into the colleges through KCET.
In the Kannada language test , you will be tested with the simple level questions like synonyms , antonyms, to correct the grammar, fill in the blanks and to write 5 sentences about a particular topic, So be prepared if you do not know Kannada.
