Hello Piu!!

Congratulations for scoring 539 in NEET 2019.

Last year the cut off marks and rank was  479 and 29949 respectively for Maldah Medical College, Maldah.

With your marks I am expecting your rank to be somewhere in between 32000-35000 AIR.

This year the cut off is going to increase but still I think that you will get a seat for sure with this marks .

If any how you miss MBBS you still have BDS to pursue .

Hey piu

With 539marks and belonging to general category I think you might get govt medical college through state quota in Kolkata. As per previous year the minimum cut off of west Bengal was 479 marks. You might get following govt colleges in Kolkata

  • Calcutta national medical College and hospital
  • GMC Kolkata
  • Nil ratan sircar medical College and hospital
  • RG kar Medical College and hospital
We are predicting this on the basis of previous year cut off trends. We. Are not sure about this year cut off as it changes every year depending on no.of candidates, no.of seats and difficulty of exam. So hope for better result this time.

Here is a link which has all the colleges of kolkata with their previous year cut off

There are around 6 medical Colleges in Kolkata. In 2018, under State Quota, the cut off for each college under General Category has been as follows:

Kolkata Medical College: 563

Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College: 533

RG Kar Medical College: 517

Institute of PG Education and Research, Kolkata: 518

ESI PGIMSR, Kolkata: 483

Calcutta National Medical College: 509

With 539, you have a chance at RG Kar, ESI PGIMSR, Calcutta National Medical College and Institute of PG Education and Research Colleges. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats availble, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
