Hi Maya,
The Armed Forces Medical college has an unique selection process compared to other medical colleges. AFMC, being a reputed college considers NEET marks and other screening tests conducted by the institute. Every year, AFMC would release the NEET cutoff for the imstitute. This is the minimum NEET score required to apply for the institute.
Analyzing the previous year cutoffs,
NEET - 2016,
Cutoff for Boys - 498
Cutoff for girls - 536
NEET - 2017,
Cutoff for Boys - 570
Cutoff for Girls - 600
NEET - 2018,
Cutoff for Boys - 551
Cutoff for Girls - 551
We can notice that the cutoff every year, though has a fluctuation, is quite high compared to other colleges. Considering the reputation of the institute, the expected levels of students are quite high.
Do not lose hope. There is always another chance.
All The Best.
Hello Maya,
Your NEET score is too low for getting admission in Armed force medical college (AFMC) using neet. Based on 2018 analysis, for getting admission in AFMC your score should be above 551. So you have no chance of getting admission there. So apply for other colleges.
Good luck!
Hi, AFMC pune is the best medical college all over India. For an exam of 720 marks if you have got 154 marks i don't think you will get top medical college of india at any cost. The previous year cutoff was around 550 marks out of 720 so don't waste time applying to that there is no chance. It would be better if you appear again and try your best. Don't get disappointed everything is possible.
