My nephew absents from class 12 CBSE practical examinations in Political Science and English due to medical reasons. If he will pass in theory examinations of these subjects what will be the final result ? Whether he will have to appear again in practicals only or in both theory and practicals ?

Hey Uday,

According to CBSE, the appearing students must pass individually in their theory and practical exam. If a student fails either of those exams, he/she will be considered failed for the subject.

Hence, being absent in the practical exam could result in failing the subject and the student may have to give both the exams again.

Hope that helped.
