Congratulations on your JEE Advanced rank!
As an OBC-NCL (Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer) candidate with a rank of 2000, your chances of getting into IIT Delhi depend on various factors, including:
1. Branch and course: Different branches and courses have varying levels of competition and seat availability.
2. Seat allocation: IIT Delhi has a specific number of seats reserved for OBC-NCL candidates.
3. Cutoff ranks: The cutoff ranks for IIT Delhi vary from year to year and depend on the performance of candidates.
Historically, the cutoff ranks for IIT Delhi have been relatively high. Based on previous years' trends, here are some rough estimates:
- For popular branches like Computer Science, Electrical, and Mechanical, the cutoff ranks are usually below 500-600 for OBC-NCL candidates.
- For other branches like Civil, Chemical, and Aerospace, the cutoff ranks might be slightly higher, around 800-1000.
Considering your rank of 2000, it might be challenging to get into IIT Delhi, especially for the more competitive branches. However, you may still have a chance for some of the less competitive branches or courses.
To get a better idea, I recommend:
1. Checking the official IIT Delhi website for the latest admission information and cutoff ranks.
2. Using online JEE Advanced college predictors to estimate your chances of getting into IIT Delhi.
3. Reaching out to IIT Delhi's admission office or a reliable education counselor for personalized guidance.
Keep in mind that admission to IIT Delhi is highly competitive, and there are no guarantees. But with a rank of 2000, you still have a chance to get into a good branch or course.
Candidates can get access to all the details about JEE Advanced including eligibility, syllabus, exam pattern, sample papers, cutoff, counselling, seat allotment etc.

Hello
With an OBC-NCL rank of 2000 , getting IIT Delhi depends on the branch you are targeting.
Here’s a general idea based on previous years cutoff trends:
Chances of Admission at IIT Delhi :
1. Highly Competitive Branches (Less Likely)
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
Electrical Engineering (EE)
Mathematics and Computing (MNC)
Mechanical Engineering (ME)
These branches usually close within OBC-NCL ranks 500-1500, so securing them might be difficult.
2. Moderate Chances (Borderline)
Civil Engineering
Textile Technology
Biochemical Engineering
These branches have had closing ranks near or slightly above 2000 in some years. Your chances will depend on seat availability and category-wise seat matrix.
3. Less Competitive Branches (Higher Chances)
Engineering Physics
Production and Industrial Engineering
These branches may have cutoffs extending close to your rank, so you stand a better chance.
Hope this gives you the clarity you need.
