my obc rank is 4748. can i get civil in vnit

If you lie in OBC and also you are domicile of Maharashtra then you can get it but if you're not domicile of Maharashtra then you have to wait until the last rounds of counselling Best of Luck

It can be difficult, it usually closes around 2-2.5k. You may get a Engg branch in the same institute with a lower rank cutoff.
