My past academics are 10/12/B.COM 76/79/59. Which bschool places low weightage on past acads?CAT percentile required .?

According to my opinion, you have average academic score and need not to worry much about it.

You should focus more in getting scores in entrance exams !

I would suggest you to target TIER 1 BSchool except IIM-A,B,C may be bit difficult.

But, if you outperform in yohr entrance which will change the entire scenario of getting into B school.

A score of 92-95+ should land you into IIM if not top 3 and else best Bschool.

Your X, XII scores are still decent. However the degree scores are relatively low. Therefore expecting call from top 6 IIMs is a far fetched dream. There are many good B schools like NMIMS, SIBM, SCMHRD, MDI, NITIE, IIFT, XLRI etc which focus on percentile over your past academic performance.

I sugeest you to focus on scoring above 98 percentile in CAT and give your best shot. Stay determined and you shall make it into the best of the best.

You have an added advantage as you are a non-engineer.Some of the B-schools which give low weightage to past academics are MDI Gurgaon,IIFT-Delhi,IIFT Kolkata, NMIMS and others. You can make up for your past academics by scoring a high percentile. Worrying about past academics will get you nothing.Just give your best in CAT and see what happens.All the best!

Your past academic record is decent. To be honest, the weightage for past academic record is less as compared to CAT examination score in general. At this point of time when only 15 days are left for CAT examination, I suggest you to focus on CAT preparation.

A decent score of 95+ percentile will fetch you a seat in a very good B-school. If you are targetting old IIMs, 99+ percentile is a general requirement.

You cannot change your past academic record. So the only option that you have is to score as much as possible in CAT examination.

You can try for all 2G and 3G IIMs. But you will definitely require a great Cat score for that.

Nothing below 99 should be targeted because your past acads are average.

You can try for private Bschools like great lakes Ifim and many more depending on ur Cat Score.

Your marks are well enough to appear for CAT and crack a number of b-schools as well. Its true that past academics are given weightage in selection process but you can supercede that by stellar CAT percentile and good GD/PI. Try to score above 96-97 for new IIM conversion, and also prepare well for XAT,IIFT,SNAP etc.
