Hello,
Well this is the basic question foremost in the minds of candidates.
Candidates interested need to check and go through all the requirements otherwise your application will be rejected.
JEE Main eligibility criteria 2019 contain parameters like age, educational qualification, subjects in 10+2 etc. which candidates will have to fulfill. Here I will mention only about educational qualification requirements:
To be eligible for JEE Main 2019, candidates need to qualify in any of the following exams:
Class XII or any other equivalent exam conducted by any recognized Central/ State board like CBSE, ICSE, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi etc.
B.Tech/B.Arch Admissions OPEN
Intermediate or Pre-University Course or Pre-Degree Course examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
Final examination of the 2-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
Vocational examination of H.S.C.
National Institute of Open Schooling conducted Senior Secondary School Examination with a minimum of 5 subjects.
AICTE or State board of technical education recognised Diploma of at least 3 years duration.
Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognised school, board, university examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
General Certificate Education (GCE) exam (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at Advanced (A) level. This is only for admission to IITs.
High School Certificate Examination by Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office. This is also for admission to IITs.
It is mandatory for candidates to have at least five subjects in class XII or equivalent examination to be considered eligible for JEE Main 2019. The five subjects for B.Tech/ B.E. according to CBSE are:
Language
Physics (compulsory for B.Arch.)
Mathematics (compulsory for B.Tech & B.Arch. both)
Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject (Any one of them)
Any other subject
Candidates who have appeared for four subjects in their qualifying exam will not be allowed to appear in JEE Main exam. They must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science or Biology as one of the optional subjects in their qualifying exam.
Pass percentage: The eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019 does not specify any pass percentage for appearing in the exam. This is because the exam is also an eligibility test for admissions to B.Tech or B.E programmes in states like Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chandigarh etc and the percentage required by students in class XII varies from state to state.
Hi Omkas,
As per the eligibility criteria of JEE Main exam, you have to complete your 10+2 or equivalent to appear for it.So,if you have done only ITI without 10+2 ,them I am afraid you will not be elligible for the exam.
