My rank in jee mains is 42000(obc category).Can I get good branch in government colleges?

Hello,
As your rank is too high of jee mains so in my opinion your chances are quite low to get any government college of India.But you can try for top private colleges through state counselling and at your rank you can get it easily.
Or if you have given any other engineering entrance exams then you can also try with them.
