My rank in pessat is 6940, which branch of engg I may get?

Hello! Roopa.For CSE branch the cut-off is around 850 to 900(In 2nd round which is the final round)




For ECE its about 1500 (2nd round)




For EEE its around 2000(2nd round)




And it goes up to 3000 for all the other streams like civil, mechanical and biotech.




So accordingly you might get among these three (civil,mechanical and biotechnology).You have amore chaces in Biotechnology and Civil department. You need to wait till last round for the result. If you can't get PES college then you can contact PES university where you have chance to study any stream.

Unfortunately, with this rank you may not be able to get any of the top branches like computer science, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, civil and mechanical courses. But still, you can try to get admissions.

Ropa, it seems really difficult for you to get admission in PES University.

Usually they stop taking students for admission after 3k rank in the final round. But it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper. So you can still give it a try.
