I would suggest mechanical at vit vellore, the only reason being vellore is better is that it might have a brand name. Apart from that you can do what interests you. If you want to pursue computers, (and the scope is more ) then that would be the right choice.

See the rank h have secured will be giving u a seat in the both the colleges for the respective branches to pursue ur higher studies for the btech courses. U will be getting any of the branches from the management quota for ur btech career. Since it is a private institution u the seats are filled until they are full.
