Hello Aspirant,
In VIT Vellore the closing rank for CSE is around 7k and for IT branch it is around 12k according to the previous years cutoffs.So for your rank it is practically not possible to secure a seat at Vellore campus.I would suggest you to prepare and apply for other state level entrance exams and private universities.If you had already written JEE Main/SRMJEE/MET and if you have a better rank there, then you may very well go for it.There are huge opportunities around so make sure you make the best out of it.
