My rank is 16328 and of Gen Cat and home state is Delhi. Being a ward of defence serving personal (priority 7 or 8). My questions are: 1. Should I apply also for defence quota? 2. Will it affect my consideration in gen quota home state? 3. Is there any advantage of priority 7/8 of defence quota?

Dear Aspirant,As you said your rank is 16328. Joint admission counselling committee, delhi reserves the seats for who will meet the reservation criteria.
5% of seats will be reserved for the candidates who belong to defense sub-category in priority.
Reservation criteria for JAC delhi under defence category
- Windows/wards of personnel killed in action.
- Wards of disabled in action.
- Windows of defence personnel who died while in service with death.
- Wards of disabled in service.
- Wards of serving defence personnel who achieved awards:-param vir chakra,and other gallantry awards.
- Wards of ex-serviceman.
- Wives of defense personal disabled in action.
- Wards of serving personnel.
- Wives of serving personnel.
The applications need to be submitted during document verification original entitlement card and other things.
You have to apply for defence quota.It will not effect your general category instead you will get admission under reserved quota.And while coming to advantages in defence quota are 5% reserved seats.
