The minimum eligibility criteria for the VIT for the Msc biotechnology or applied microbiology is to complete graduation in any biology branch .

As per previous cutoff records the rank on which you can easily get admission in category 1 in VIT is under 20k .You can even get admission with you rank to in VIT may be in category 2 or category 3 with some extras fee .

You rank is not bad you can even try for get admission in category 1 .As cutoff depends upon many factors like :

Numbers of candidates appeared

. category

.rank obtained

there are good chance for you to get admission in VIT through category 1 .
