JEE mains results are out recently. You have to score a certain percentile for qualifying to write JEE advanced. If you have mentioned your rank from JEE mains exam results then you can't get into iit's. Admission to iits are on the basis of marks in JEE advanced. Minimum marks around 150-160 (General) to get any branch in any IIT Institute because there are only around 11,000 seats are available in all the IITs. And different category has some relaxation on this barrier but then also your score should be above 130 (for other category) to get any IIT Institution.
According to the reports in EWS as category you have to score minimum of 63.1114141 percentile in JEE mains for for writing JEE advanced examination.
From academic year 2019-20, there will be 10% reservation quota for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) among General Category candidates in higher education engineering institutes (like IITs and NITs). 148 marks is considered as a good score in JEE Advanced but the exact prediction of cutoffs can not be done accurately as of now. Cutoffs can vary too based on factors like number of students appearing, number of seats available, difficulty level of the paper etc. if you have the above mention the rank in JEE advanced then you have no chances of getting into iits.
Thank you
