Hello Arpan

Congratulations on these great ranks!! You have done well!!
On this rank, you can definitely get a decent branch in IITs and NITs. Also, the minimum board (CBSE) percentage for SC category candidates is 65%, thus you are safe here. These are the possible options-

IIT (Indore, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Gandhinagar, (BHU)Varanasi)- Civil Engineering
IIT (Mandi, Ropar, Goa) and ISM Dhanbad- Electrical
CSE at new IITs.
All the lower ranked branches at older IITs.

Also, you can get some good NITs as well. It now depends on what you prefer based on branch, loaction, college, etc. to further choose a college. Refer to the college predictor links for more information-

I hope this helps you. Choose wisely and make sure you pursue your field of interest.

All the best!!

Hello,

You have required percentage in boards only if you are from CBSE Boards or your marks need to be in top 20 percentile of the respective boards. According to 2018 cutoffs, with SC rank of 1623 in JEE Mains, you can get CSE, Electric engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering, Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering at NIT Silchar. You can also get CSE, ECE, EEE at NIT Delhi. With SC rank of 1012 in JEE Advanced, you can get Chemical engineering, Civil engineering at IIT BHU. You can get a seat at many other NITs and IITs at your obtained ranks.

Please note that this prediction is completely based on 2018 cutoffs. Cutoffs can vary from year to year depending upon factors like number of students appearing for the examination, number of seats available, difficulty level of the paper etc.

I hope it helps. For any further queries regarding this, ask me in the comments.

if u r from another category like SC/ST/OBC then u need 40% in boards to appear or expect nit/iits. Yourvrank suggeat that you can make it to top nit and can also get good brancbes as well in the first round of counselling only. With this fine rank you can get iit as well.
