Ayush considering you a general category student with your 85 marks in JEE Mains exam your AIR must be around 90,000 - 1,00,000. I am very sorry to say Ayush but with this rank, it will be very difficult for you to get admission in any of the NITs even with the state quota in your Home NIT you will not be able to get a seat in NITs. But still, you have a moderate chance to get into some of the government engineering colleges running in each state by the state government and accepts JEE Mains marks for admission. Also, with 85 marks you are eligible for JEE Advanced examination so you still have 1 more day to register yourself for the exam which is going to be held on 20th May. Do it quickly if you wish to do well in JEE Advanced examination and get admission in one of the IITs.
