Once calculate the rank by using this formula:
Rank Formula = (100 - your total score) X 874469 /100.
Then compare the rank with previous years Nits cutoff
https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits/amp
But it is difficult to know the cutoff because the jEE mains exam held twice this year and the results are officially released by the national testing agency NTA on the basis of best of two exams. The official cutoff is released on the month of April. so you to wait until the official cutoff is released.
The rank predited by above formula may differ from the official cutoff which is released on April.
If you have any questions further let me know.
Thank you!!!!
Hello
Greetings
Your sister's percentile is 78.81 It means 78.81% student of the Total student appeared for the Exam are Behind her Therefore 21.19% students of the Total students appeared for the exam are Ahead of her, Therefore her calculated rank is 185300
Her Rank would change Either her Percentile Score is Increases in the next attempt or Number of Student increases in the Next attempt the Number of Student Increases to 1400000 and her percentile remains same then her New rank would be 296660
As per her current Performance, she may be eligible for JEE Advance But the final cut off will be released once the JEE Main April gets Over
If her Percentile Score Increases in the Next attempt Then her Rank would Be calculated By the Following Formula
(100 - your total percentile score (Higher of two)) X Student appeared in JEE Main/100
Hope this Helps All the Best
