Admission of candidates into medical colleges depends on whether they hace scored equal to or above the following two cut-offs:



1.) Qualifying cut-off: Minimum scores required to qualify NEET UG. This will be released by the NTA.



2.) Admission cut-off: Minimum scores required for taking admission into a medical college. This will be released by the college authorities. It varies from college to college.



These cut-offs are different for different categories of candidates. Reserved category candidates have relatively lower cut-offs than unreserved category students.



So if the candidate's marks are equal to or above the admission cut-offs, then he or she is eligible to take admission into that particular college.
