Yes definitely. Last year SMR around 1800 got a seat in government medical colleges of Maharashtra. The seats have even increased this year. So you can easily get a seat. You might face problem in getting a seat in your own region ie Mumbai, Marathwada or Vidarbha, but you will definitely get a government seat.
