With 45K rank getting CSE i good colleges will be tough.

Though he will get colleges like : Sambhram, Alliance, Presidency etc.

But i would suggest you to shift your son to ISE rather than CSE, as both the streams are 99% same and so are the placement scenario and future scopes and Syllabus is more or less the same.

And your son will get better colleges in ISE than CSE.

You can try for NMAMIT-ISE, though its tough but can try.
