Hi Snajay

You only have scope of getting admission in North-Eastern NITs.

You have secured a high rank, so you are not eligible in any other NITs.

Hello,

The chances to get into NITs with rank of 70,097 is very hard. With this rank you have chances to get into NITs of North-Eastern states. Only these NITs provide much wide opening and closing ranks. To get into other NITs you should have rank around 10,000 or atleast 20,000. If you want to get in top NITs you should have rank of atleast 2,000.

Hello sir,

I am sorry to inform you that your son won't get a seat in NIT's according to his rank. But he can get a seat in some north eastern NIT's like -

  • NIT,Mizoram
  • NIT,Agartala
  • NIT,Nagaland
  • NIT,Arunachal pradesh
That to only if your son has home state reservation in the above mentioned states.

You can check the cutoff ranks of all NIT through this link

All the best.

Well sir, I can understand. I know your ward had worked hard for JEE mains but I believe with 70.01k rank, he won't be getting decent college which I can recommend you.

Though with home state quota, there might be an increased chance of your's getting a seat but with such a rank it is very hard to get.

As, opting a very low rank NIT and that too of lower preferred seat will bring nothing good for you.

So, I would suggest you to prefer state engineering colleges. Some state eng. colleges are way better than even mediocre ranked NIT.

Also, I would recommend you to do take part in JoSAA and go to through all the round even the spot round. May be, some good fortune can turn your destiny.

Or if their is less fees concern, than your ward can go with

Thapur, Patialla or VIT, Vellore.

It is one of the older colleges in education industry with better Alumni than many of the NIT's.

Thank You
