My son got 80 % in pcm. Can he get admission in any government engineering college. For cs.

A lot of colleges do not look at the percentage in pcm alone but the overall percentage. The minimum cutoff in government colleges is 87%. I would suggest to apply in colleges in hope for getting accepted in colleges where seats are vacant and lower percentile students are considered.

Yes, he can got government College. Because for getting government College it is much percentage. It mainly depends on the rank get by your son  in entrance exam . As your son will give entrance exam for btech like UPTU, JEE MAIN... then the rank got by him will decide whether he get CSE or not.

Since CSE is a very demanding branch so he should achieve good rank in entrance exam . So he has to prepare for exam properly. He can prefer different books for practice. She should study his books throughly . Since he wants to take CSE he should have interest in coding and developing logic for program.

So it decides whether he can get CSE or not based on his rank. As per his choice of branch and College he should get a good rank. As  in CSE there are many job opportunities in private sector . But there is great competition in CSE nowadays. So he must have determination to get his goal. You can come to know aboutt College's fees, placement and faculty also. So go through each College where your son.want to take admission.
