My son got 80 % in pcm. Can he get admission in any government engineering college. For cs.
A lot of colleges do not look at the percentage in pcm alone but the overall percentage. The minimum cutoff in government colleges is 87%. I would suggest to apply in colleges in hope for getting accepted in colleges where seats are vacant and lower percentile students are considered.
Since CSE is a very demanding branch so he should achieve good rank in entrance exam . So he has to prepare for exam properly. He can prefer different books for practice. She should study his books throughly . Since he wants to take CSE he should have interest in coding and developing logic for program.
It also depends on the cutoff list. As the cutoff list vary from year to year. The cutoff list depends on the number of the students appeared in the exam and the level of paper. So it decides whether he can get CSE or not based on his rank. As per his choice of branch and College he should get a good rank. If he is in general category then he cannot afford some extra benfits. Otherwise he can get some extra advantage falling in reserved category. As in CSE there are many job opportunities in private sector . But there is great competition in CSE nowadays. So he must have determination to get his goal. So getting job in private sector is also become a competition now. You and your son also come to know different Colleges by visiting their website . You can come to know aboutt College's fees, placement and faculty also. So go through each College where your son.want to take admission.
So it is good for him having knowledge of each College before counselling.
