Yes why not there are some NITs from which he can pursue his engineering in but CSE will be very difficult and he can only get admissions in home state quota some of them are mentioned below

• Nit Agartala chemical ece CSE Mech
• Nit puducherry ECE CIVIL CSE
• NIT andhra pradesh
• NIT meghalya

These are the only nit where he can secure admissions

Else there are many other good institutes from where he can pursue his engineering

But make him join dropper batch and target a good institute next time
