We have 3 areas in State Counselling for AP and Telangana. They are SVU,OU and AU. Now SVU and AU are in AP and OU comes under Telangana. A Candidate who wants to claim Telangana domicile, should have studied in 2 or more local areas for a period of 7 consecutive areas including 12th which is the qualifying examination for appearing in NEET. Or the other rule is that the Candidate should have lived in the local area of the State for not less than 4 years in which the last year of the stay should have been his/her 12th. So in this case, if the Candidate is studying in Telangana from his 10th and wants to continue to study in Telangana until his 12th, that makes it 3 years and the minimum duration required to stay in Telangana to claim its domicile for State Counselling is 4 years. He is short by 1 year and so he will be considered non local. He can choose any City as his Exam centre but he will be non local to Telangana State Counselling.
