my son is in 11th grade.i want him to join in iits.i want him to be next sundar pichai.so that he will earn millions of dollars.everyone will respect him.but he wants to do undergraduation in us. i don't want him to do that.then,he won't get much money as iit.everyone will see him as waste.what now?
Hello,
You not everyone has to be a Sundar Pichai to be respected by others. Let your son do what he wants to do. If you force him to get into an IIT when he clearly doesn't want to, he will not be happy and he won't do well there. It will only ruin his life and career.
You can let him go to the USA, there are many good Universities there. He can join a reputed college and do well in a course that he would like to study and I am sure that will help him become successful. And people will respect him for the work that he does. Not everyone who goes to an IIT becomes a Sundar Pichai nor does everyone in an IIT get a huge package. What is most important is that he do something that makes him happy, this will increase his productivity and his work will be recognized in no time.
Provide your support and guidance rather than forcing hom to do something that he doesn't want to.
I am sure he will make you proud one day.
Good Luck
Hi,
Being a parent, you should not hand over or put or aspirations on the shoulders of your child. Money is not everything in life. Money can buy everything but not happiness. Your child's happiness lies in doing graduation from US. Believe it, if someone follows his/her passion, he obviously do well and earn well. Respect comes by the deeds a person do not by his job/profession. You should let your child follow his/her heart, because if he/she can become first, then why it is needed to make them second of something. Sundar Pichai also followed his passion and due to this, he is at this position. If he would not have followed his passion then he would not be what he is today. So, let your child decide because this steps is the most crucial step.
