Hello,

In order to take admission in IIT, you have to appear for the JEE mains or JEE ADVANCED exam. The candidates will be required to meet the following criteria: Minimum 75% aggregate marks should have been secured in 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. For the SC/ST/PwD category, the aggregate marks is minimum 65% OR. After that, you have to appear for the entrance exams for whatever engineering courses you are taking admission in.

In fact, JEE mains is required by every Engineering College so you must give it in order to pursue engineering course.
