Sir, good schools public or private depends completely on your city and what does you son want from his 10+2 level schooling, it can be a holistic development and therefore a school well equipped with extra-curricular activities or a school that helps him get a good grasp over academics, or a school which holds school during the early morning hours for children to go home and do ample self study.

Hello,

If your son is considering a career in commerce after class 10, there are many well-regarded public and private schools in India that provide excellent education and opportunities for overall growth. Among public schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) are a fantastic choice, offering affordable fees, a CBSE curriculum, and a strong emphasis on academic excellence in commerce subjects such as Business Studies, Accountancy, and Economics. Similarly, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) offer high-quality, fully residential education at no cost, focusing on holistic development. Many state government schools, particularly in urban areas, also have dedicated commerce streams and are budget-friendly options to consider.

In the private sector, institutions like Delhi Public School (DPS) are notable for their strong academic programs and excellent facilities, with a CBSE curriculum aimed at preparing students for competitive exams. The Shri Ram School in Delhi and Gurgaon is well-known for its innovative teaching methods and comprehensive education, while La Martiniere schools in Kolkata and Lucknow emphasize discipline, leadership, and the development of analytical skills. Ryan International Schools, which have branches throughout the country, focus on global exposure and practical learning in commerce, and Amity International Schools are recognized for their emphasis on entrepreneurship and industry connections.

Other esteemed institutions like St. Xavier’s Collegiate School in Kolkata and Loyola Schools in Chennai and Hyderabad provide a solid commerce curriculum backed by experienced faculty and a variety of extracurricular activities. When selecting a school, consider factors such as the curriculum (CBSE, ICSE, or state boards), its distance from your home, and the availability of activities that match your son's interests. Looking into alumni reviews and visiting the schools can also assist you in making a well-informed choice.
