My son,a domicile of Assam, qualified in NEET 2020.But in State Merit List(Assam) his name is missing.In filing application he mentioned West Bengal(for 15% AIQ).Will he be eligible for 85% Assam Quota?How to proceed?Kindly guide.

Ajay, has your son registered his name for State Counselling. Because only those Candidates who have registered for State Counselling will have their names featured in the State merit list. You need to fill the State NEET registration application form to have your name in the State merit list. Nevertheless, can you help us with your son's full name please?

If he has selected West Bengal as the State of Eligibility, the chances of his name featuring in Assam State Merit are less and then he cannot register for Assam State Counselling. Please reach out to dme@assam.gov.in or dmeassam@gmail.com at the earliest.

I talked to DME,Assam.They said "no chance".If necessary,I will go to Delhi.But I have no idea about which office,department,section etc. to be approached.Kindly guide.Regards.

Unfortunately, we do not have this information, Ajay. With NMC taking over MCC, things are yet to settle in. But please check with NTA if something can be done. Please mail them at: neet@nta.ac.in
