My sons rank is 1079 at COMEDK 2020. We fall in non Karnataka, General Category, Which institutes would he be able to secure admissions in Computer Science stream? also, hes secured an admission in Computers & Communications Engg. at Manipal. can anybody guide what our preferences should be

Congratulations on the great rank, now coming to your question your son can get computer science branch in the top 10 colleges like, RV college of Engineering, Ramaiah Institute of Technology, BMS College of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar College of engineering. These are the top colleges you can get into from comedk.

Thank you so much maam ! How would you rate Manipal Institute viz-a-viz Bangalore Institutes like BMSCE or MS Ramaiya? my sons got through at Manipal in CCE. So need to make an informed choice

Well, all the three colleges you mentioned are really good in terms of everything. I guess it depends on what you are looking for, if you are looking for a college in a known location with easier accessibility you can look into BMS, RV. But in terms of placement Manipal is equally good so it really depends on which city your child is more comfortable in.
